Roots was created with you in mind.
McKaya McDonald, CSR(A)
Commissioner of Oaths in Alberta.
McKaya McDonald is the founder of Roots Reporting and a Certified Shorthand Reporter (CSR) and Commissioner of Oaths in Alberta.
After graduating with honours from the NAIT Captioning and Court Reporting program, McKaya began her career as a freelance stenographer, gaining experience with multiple court reporting firms across Alberta and Ontario.
That experience shaped her vision for Roots: a reporting firm that combines the professionalism and technical precision of traditional stenography with a modern, responsive approach to client service.
What began in Lethbridge has grown into a team of stenographic reporters serving clients throughout Alberta, with reporters available in communities including Lethbridge, Medicine Hat, Calgary, and Edmonton, as well as remote services province-wide.
More than a transcript.
We understand that the record is only one part of your day. That's why Roots is focused on making the reporting process straightforward from booking to transcript delivery.
Whether you need an in-person reporter, a secure remote questioning, realtime reporting, a rough draft, or an expedited transcript, our team is here to make the process easy and dependable.
